Who we are at Elizabeth Telling

 

 

Sandy Sterrett owns Elizabeth Tellling Farm and farms it with the help of two young Amish couples: John & Elizabeth and Andy & Rachel. Sandy supervises the entire farming operation and devotes particular attention to the lettuces and gourmet crops for which she is known.

Why We Farm With Horses

We like the planet and the people who live on it. That's why we farm in a way that minimizes our ecological footprint. It's more labor-intensive to farm with horses, but it's much better for the environment, and we feel good about that.

How We Grow Your Food

We grow your food without chemical addatives of any kind. Although we're not certified organic, we meet or exceed most of the organic guidelines:

•All of our seeds are untreated or organic

•Our chickens range freely over an acre of shrubs and trees
